Job Overview: We are looking for a reliable and experienced Storekeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, familiarity with store management practices, and proficiency in using computers for stock management. The Storekeeper will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of stock control, inventory management, and ensuring the efficient running of the store operations in our LED manufacturing facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the storage and organization of raw materials, components, and finished products in the warehouse. - Maintain accurate stock records, including incoming and outgoing inventory, through a computerized stock management system.
- Monitor stock levels to ensure that inventory is available for production and that stock does not exceed storage capacity.
- Conduct regular stock checks (physical counts) and reconcile with system records.
- Ensure that the storage areas are clean, well-organized, and comply with health and safety regulations.
- Assist in the receiving of goods and inspection for quality and quantity against purchase orders.
- Issue materials to production as per production requirements and ensure the proper handling of products.
- Prepare stock reports, such as inventory levels, stock movements, and shortages.
- Assist with the coordination of shipments, including preparing shipping documentation and managing transportation logistics.
- Coordinate with other departments (production, procurement, etc.) to ensure that stock needs are met efficiently.
- Handle any stock discrepancies or damage and report to management immediately.
- Receiving the shipments in the warehouse and issue quality test reports (QS).
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Storekeeper, Warehouse Keeper, or similar role, preferably in manufacturing.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software or ERP systems.
- Strong understanding of stock management practices and procedures.
- Basic computer skills (MS Office, Excel, etc.).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift and handle heavy items when required.
- A high school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications related to warehouse or inventory management is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in LED manufacturing or similar industry.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations in warehouse management.
- Familiarity with inventory tracking systems.
Working Hours:
- From Saturday to Wednesday 08:00 AM to 05:30 PM
- Thursday: 08:00 AM to 02:00 PM - Full-time position, with shifts based on production needs.
