The Director of Procurement & Supply Chain Management is responsible for the overall leadership and management of the company's procurement and supply chain functions. This role will develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies, optimize procurement processes, and build strong relationships with suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality goods and services at the best possible prices.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Sourcing & Procurement:
Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans for all categories of goods and services, including but not limited to:
Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify and evaluate potential suppliers.
Negotiate and finalize contracts with suppliers, ensuring favorable terms and conditions.
Manage supplier relationships, including performance monitoring, issue resolution, and contract renewals.
Implement and oversee procurement processes, including RFQs, RFPs, and contract management systems.
Supply Chain Management:
Optimize the flow of goods and services throughout the supply chain.
Manage inventory levels to minimize costs and ensure timely availability of materials.
Develop and implement supply chain risk mitigation strategies.
Collaborate with other departments, such as operations, finance, and legal, to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
Oversee the implementation and maintenance of a robust supply chain management system (e.g., ERP, procurement software).
Team Leadership & Development:
Lead and mentor a high-performing team of procurement professionals.
Recruit, hire, train, and develop procurement staff.
Foster a collaborative and results-oriented team environment.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
10+ years of progressive experience in procurement and supply chain management, with a strong preference for experience in the facilities management industry.
Proven experience in strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier relationship management.
