Customs Clearance Officer – Export & Import

Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
The Customs Clearance Officer – Export & Import is responsible for handling all customs clearance activities for import and export shipments. The role ensures compliance with customs regulations, accurate documentation, and timely clearance while coordinating with customs authorities, freight forwarders, and internal teams.
Handle customs clearance for import and export shipments (air, sea, and land)
Prepare, submit, and follow up on customs declarations
Ensure compliance with customs laws, regulations, and procedures
Classify goods using correct HS codes and applicable tariffs
Calculate customs duties, taxes, and related charges
Prepare and verify shipping and customs documentation
Coordinate with customs authorities, freight forwarders, and transporters
Attend customs inspections and resolve clearance issues
Track shipment status and ensure timely clearance
Communicate with clients regarding requirements, delays, and updates
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Customs, Business, or related field
Minimum 2 years of experience in customs clearance (export & import)
Strong knowledge of customs regulations and HS classification
Experience with import/export documentation
Good communication and coordination skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Proficiency in MS Office and customs clearance systems
Customs broker license (if required by local regulations)
