The Assistant Production Manager is responsible for successfully and efficiently planning, organizing, leading, and controlling production operations in his or her assigned production area to achieve product volume, quality, timeliness, good manufacturing practices, cleanliness, and hygiene.
Plans and arranges manufacturing activities based on volume projections and real needs.
Directs and manages the activities in his region to ensure the smooth flow of manufacturing processes.
Ensures that the assigned area contributes to the consistent application of quality and safety requirements in completed goods and the workplace.
Implements process improvements, equipment upgrades, and other opportunities for innovation.
Verifies accurate and timely production reports, as well as any other reports required by management.
Collaborates with other operational units on behalf of the section.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Has a bachelor's degree in Food Technology or any related course.
At least 3 years of Plant Operations working experience and 3 years of experience in a supervisory capacity.
