Position Overview: The Legal Officer will be responsible for providing legal guidance and support to various departments within the company, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations relevant to the aviation industry.
Responsibilities:
Legal Compliance: Ensure compliance with local and international aviation laws, regulations, and industry standards.
Contract Review and Negotiation: Review, draft, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including agreements with vendors, customers, and partners.
Risk Management: Identify legal risks and provide proactive advice to mitigate such risks effectively.
Dispute Resolution: Handle legal disputes and litigation matters, including coordinating with external legal counsel when necessary.
Regulatory Affairs: Monitor changes in aviation regulations and advise management on the potential impact on the company's operations.
Corporate Governance: Assist in corporate governance matters, including the preparation of board resolutions and corporate filings.
Intellectual Property: Manage intellectual property matters, including trademarks, patents, and copyrights.
Employee Training: Conduct training sessions for employees on legal compliance and related topics.
Policy Development: Develop and implement company policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance and best practices.
Other Legal Support: Provide general legal support to various departments within the company, as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) from an accredited institution. Advanced degree (LLM) is preferred.
Admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction.
Minimum of 4 years of experience practicing law, with a focus on aviation law preferred.
Strong understanding of aviation regulations and industry practices.
