Reporting to the Research & Development Assistant Manager, will be responsible for supporting, engaging in and carrying out daily AutoCAD drafting activities that support internal and external personal.
Responsibilities include:
Work closely and assist the R&D Assistant Manager on shop drawing projects ranging all sizes.
Daily duties include everyday use of AutoCAD - completing Full Shop Drawings from start to finish for the sales team, interpret designs, technical demands and product information for staff, client/customers, architects and contractors.
Reading and understanding CAD Drawing and Cross-Sectional Drawing.
Read and review specification documents related to building projects (Architectural drawings, Elevations, Plans and Schedules).
Creating new CAD models/libraries to improve our technical information and to improve drawing processes & timelines for the marketing department, clients, project coordinators, contractors, architects, and engineers.
Requirements:
Technical degree/diploma/certificate or equivalent in related field.
Minimum of 0-2 years of related experience and a proven ability to manage tasks and responsibilities with minimal supervision.
Strong knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit would be an asset.
Ability to work in Microsoft Office products such as Excel and Outlook.
Knowledge of the Alberta and National Building Code would be an asset.
Strong written and verbal skills to communicate with all levels of the Company including the executive management team.
