Description:
Senior Static & Rotating Equipment Engineer
Role Purpose:
Provide technical oversight, review, and assurance for all static & rotating equipment
engineering produced by Engineering consultant and vendors, and support site construction,
installation, and commissioning activities for the EPIC CO₂ Reinjection Project.
Key Responsibilities
• Review mechanical engineering deliverables issued by Engineering Consultant
(datasheets, specifications, layouts, calculations, stress reports, 3D model extracts).
• Ensure designs comply with Client standards, FEED/DBM requirements,
API/ASME/NACE, Shell DEPs, and project scope.
• Verify correct integration with Process, Piping, Electrical, Instrumentation, and Civil
disciplines.
• Participate in 30% / 60% / 90% model reviews and ensure equipment accessibility,
maintainability, and constructability.
• Review all vendor documents for static & rotating equipment.
• Evaluate GAs, design reports, fabrication drawings, ITPs, QCPs, preservation procedures
• Close vendor technical queries and deviations; ensure vendor deliverables align with
project requirements.
• Support technical evaluation during MR/TBE phases
• Attend vendor KOMs, design review meetings, FAT/SAT activities.
• Monitor vendor progress and highlight delays or technical risks to the project team.
• Review and approve installation method statements, lifting plans, alignment procedures,
and equipment preservation/handling procedures.
• Provide on-site technical support for erection of static & rotating equipment.
• Resolve site TQs, support NCR dispositions, and verify corrective actions.
• Ensure equipment is installed as per vendor manuals and Client requirements.
Competencies
• Strong expertise in Rotating equipment, Glycol dehydration package, Pressure vessels,
exchangers and pipeline-related mechanical packages.
• Excellent ability to review, challenge, and validate consultant/vendor engineering work.
• Strong construction troubleshooting, installation, and mechanical completion knowledge.
• Familiar with Client standards and EPIC execution environment.
Qualifications
• MANDATORY - bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
• MANDATORY - 12–15 years relevant EPC experience, with focus on equipment
package review and site support.
