Roles and Responsibilities of a Die Operator
Die Setup and Installation
Install and align dies on machines according to production requirements.
Ensure proper die positioning and secure mounting before operation.
Machine Operation
Operate press machines, stamping machines, or other equipment fitted with dies.
Start, stop, and adjust machine settings as required.
Quality Control
Inspect produced parts to ensure they meet specifications and tolerances.
Use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
Identify and report defects or quality issues.
Die Maintenance
Clean, lubricate, and perform routine maintenance on dies.
Check for wear, cracks, or damage and report repair needs.
Troubleshooting
Identify operational problems such as misalignment, excessive wear, or machine malfunctions.
Take corrective actions or coordinate with maintenance personnel.
Safety Compliance
Follow workplace safety procedures and use personal protective equipment (PPE).
Ensure machine guards and safety devices are functioning properly.
Production Monitoring

Documentation
