Full-Time | Private Practice | Medical Optometry & Surgical Co-Management
We’re seeking a dedicated Optometrist (OD) to join a high-performing practice in Carbondale, Illinois. This role combines routine vision care with the opportunity to manage ocular diseases and co-manage surgical patients in partnership with seasoned ophthalmologists.

Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive eye exams and manage vision correction
Diagnose and manage a wide range of ocular diseases
Co-manage cataract, LASIK, and other surgical procedures
Educate patients on preventative care and treatment options
Maintain complete and accurate EHR documentation
Travel between a few nearby practice locations as needed
What We’re Looking For
Doctor of Optometry (OD) from an accredited program
Licensed or eligible in Illinois
Strong diagnostic and communication skills
Team-player with a patient-first mindset
Open to light travel between locations
Preferred Skills
Surgical co-management experience a plus
Familiarity with EHR systems
Bilingual preferred but not required
