Description:
The Plant HR Manager will oversee and strengthen the full spectrum of HR operations at the manufacturing unit. The role focuses on building a high-performing workforce, driving employee engagement, ensuring statutory compliance, and nurturing a safe, productive, and people-centric workplace.
Lead end-to-end recruitment for plant-level and support functions.
Develop and implement manpower planning in coordination with functional heads.
Drive smooth onboarding, induction, and documentation processes for new hires.
Act as the primary point of contact for employee relations and grievance handling.
Build a positive employee relations climate through regular engagement activities.
Ensure fair disciplinary and grievance redressal processes.
Manage time office, attendance, and leave management systems.
Coordinate payroll inputs and monthly processing with finance.
Oversee lifecycle processes such as confirmations, transfers, increments, and separations.
Ensure 100% compliance with all labor and factory laws (PF, ESIC, CLRA, Factory Act, etc.).
Maintain audit-ready documentation for inspections and statutory audits.
Liaise with local government and labor authorities as needed.
Drive performance appraisal and goal-setting processes at the plant level.
Support line managers in implementing performance improvement plans.
Facilitate merit reviews and ensure transparency in performance outcomes.
Identify skill and competency gaps and implement targeted training programs.
Coordinate with external trainers and maintain records as per compliance norms.
Promote a culture of continuous learning and capability building.
Implement HR policies, procedures, and SOPs in alignment with organizational guidelines.
Drive awareness and compliance through communication and training sessions.
Collaborate with the HSE team to ensure adherence to safety standards and protocols.
Oversee employee welfare facilities (canteen, uniforms, transportation, etc.).
Support initiatives that promote employee well-being and workplace hygiene.
Education:
MBA / PGDM in Human Resources or equivalent qualification.
Experience:
8–12 years of experience in HR within a manufacturing / industrial environment.
Prior exposure to plant-level HR operations and statutory compliance is a must.
Skills & Attributes:
In-depth understanding of labor laws and compliance requirements.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and people management skills.
Ability to manage diverse stakeholders and maintain industrial harmony.
Hands-on experience with HRMS systems and MS Office tools.
Problem-solving and decision-making skills with a fair and balanced approach.
Exposure to audits (ISO, internal, statutory) preferred.
