Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end Quality function for a new plant setup (greenfield project).
- Establish and implement the Plant Quality System in line with IATF 16949 and organizational standards.
- Define Quality strategy, KPIs, and objectives for the plant and track performance.
- Drive quality planning activities during project phase (APQP, PPAP, Control Plan, PFMEA, etc.).
- Act as the voice of the customer within the plant and ensure customer requirements are deployed effectively.
- Lead customer quality interface, including audits, concerns, and escalation management.
- Develop and manage Supplier Quality Assurance in coordination with procurement teams.
- Ensure process quality control across manufacturing, including incoming, in-process, and final inspections.
- Drive problem-solving culture using structured methodologies (8D, 5 Why, Root Cause Analysis).
- Set up and lead quality team structure, hiring, training, and capability development.
- Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and statutory quality standards.
- Take authority to stop production or dispatch in case of quality non-compliance.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, Cost of Poor Quality reduction).
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Production / Industrial or equivalent).
- 8–12 years of experience in Automotive Manufacturing Quality.
- Strong experience in Greenfield Project / Plant setup.
- Experience in handling OEM Customer Quality.
- Strong exposure to Supplier Quality management.
- Good communication and Stakeholder Management skills.
