We are seeking a detail-oriented Voyage Optimisation Analyst to analyse vessel performance, optimise voyage planning, and support decision-making for efficient and safe maritime operations. The ideal candidate will work closely with fleet, operations, and data teams to improve fuel efficiency, reduce emissions, and enhance voyage outcomes using data-driven insights.
Monitor, analyze, and optimize vessel voyages for fuel efficiency, ETA accuracy, and safe routing.
Evaluate weather forecasts, metocean data, and vessel performance indicators to recommend optimal voyage plans.
Track key KPIs including speed loss, fuel consumption, engine load, CII rating, and trim optimization.
Perform pre-voyage, mid-voyage, and post-voyage analysis using AIS, noon reports, and sensor data.
Assess risks related to weather, piracy zones, currents, and routing compliance.
Prepare regular reports on voyage performance, deviations, and fuel efficiency improvements.
Work with voyage optimization software and marine analytics platforms (e.g., StormGeo, DNV, Veson, Navis).
Support decision-making for route changes, speed adjustments, and operational recommendations.
Collaborate with fleet operations, masters, and technical teams to ensure alignment with voyage plans.
Contribute to emission reduction efforts aligned with IMO regulations (CII, EEXI, MRV, EU ETS).
Understanding of vessel navigation, voyage planning, and routing
Knowledge of fuel optimization concepts (speed, RPM, trim, draft)
Familiarity with IMO compliance standards
AIS/Weather data interpretation
Proficiency in Excel, Python, or data analytics tools
Experience with voyage optimization platforms (StormGeo, DNV, Veson, Navis, etc.)
Ability to assess metocean datasets (wind, waves, currents)
Exposure to GIS tools (QGIS/ArcGIS) is a plus
Strong data interpretation and problem-solving skills
Time-series analysis and performance comparison
KPI analysis (fuel consumption, CII score, speed loss, route deviation)
Strong communication and reporting skills
Attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work under pressure with time-sensitive decisions
Cross-team collaboration with marine, fleet, and engineering teams
Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering, Nautical Science, Data Analytics, or related field
1–4 years of experience in maritime operations, vessel performance, or voyage optimization (preferred)
Certification in navigation, marine operations, or analytics is a plus
