Description:
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is responsible for providing strategic, financial, and operational leadership for the organization within the Oil & Gas sector. The CEO will drive corporate vision, ensure sustainable growth, maximize shareholder value, and maintain compliance with regulatory and industry standards. This role requires extensive experience in upstream, midstream, or downstream operations and a strong understanding of global energy markets.
Develop and execute long-term corporate strategy aligned with market trends and energy transition initiatives.
Identify new business opportunities including exploration, production, joint ventures, and international expansion.
Lead mergers, acquisitions, and strategic partnerships.
Ensure alignment between corporate objectives and operational execution.
Oversee upstream, midstream, and/or downstream operations.
Ensure operational excellence, production optimization, and cost efficiency.
Drive HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) culture across all assets and facilities.
Ensure asset integrity, risk mitigation, and compliance with industry standards.
Lead financial planning, budgeting, and capital allocation.
Optimize return on investment (ROI) and shareholder value.
Monitor financial performance, cash flow, and profitability.
Engage with investors, financial institutions, and stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with local and international oil & gas regulations.
Maintain strong corporate governance standards.
Report to the Board of Directors on company performance and risk exposure.
Oversee legal, regulatory, and contractual matters.
Build strong relationships with government authorities, regulators, and national oil companies.
Represent the company in industry forums and international conferences.
Manage joint venture and partner relationships.
Build and lead a high-performing executive leadership team.
Foster a culture of integrity, safety, innovation, and accountability.
Drive succession planning and talent development initiatives.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s/MBA preferred).
Minimum 15–20 years of progressive experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
At least 10 years in senior executive leadership roles.
Proven experience managing large-scale oil & gas operations.
Strong knowledge of global energy markets and regulatory frameworks.
Demonstrated success in driving growth, profitability, and operational efficiency.
