Key Responsibilities
Implementation & Configuration of Symplr Credentialing Software:
• Lead the full lifecycle of Symplr credentialing software implementations for healthcare
organizations, ensuring alignment with the client's credentialing workflows and regulatory
requirements
• Configure and customize the Symplr platform to meet the specific credentialing needs of
healthcare providers, networks, or facilities
• Collaborate with clients to understand their credentialing processes, data management
practices, and regulatory requirements to configure the software accordingly
• Manage software integration with existing hospital systems, EMR platforms, and third-party
databases, ensuring seamless data flow
Provider Data Management
• Oversee the management of provider data within Symplr, ensuring that provider profiles are
complete, accurate, and in compliance with healthcare regulations (e.g., NCQA, CMS, state-
specific requirements)
• Maintain up-to-date provider data in Symplr, performing regular audits, quality checks, and
data validations to ensure consistency and compliance with industry standards
• Implement best practices for data governance, ensuring that sensitive provider information is
managed securely and according to healthcare privacy standards (HIPAA)
• Troubleshoot and resolve data issues, including missing or outdated provider information,
and ensure that data errors are corrected promptly
Training & Support
• Provide in-depth training to healthcare clients on the use of Symplr Credentialing software,
including provider data management, credentialing workflows, and system functionality
• Offer ongoing post-implementation support to healthcare clients, troubleshooting any
software or data issues and assisting with system updates and enhancements
• Develop and maintain user documentation, training materials, and FAQs to support the
client’s use of Symplr’s credentialing system
Regulatory Compliance & Best Practices
• Stay informed about changes in healthcare regulations related to provider credentialing (e.g.,
NCQA, CMS, URAC, state licensing) and ensure that Symplr’s credentialing solutions remain
compliant
• Advise clients on best practices for credentialing and provider data management, including
strategies for reducing administrative burdens and improving efficiency
• Ensure compliance with accreditation standards and assist clients in meeting accreditation
requirements (e.g., NCQA, The Joint Commission)
Client Relationship Management
• Act as the primary point of contact for healthcare organizations during the implementation
process, ensuring clear communication and effective project management
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients by understanding their unique
credentialing and data management needs and delivering tailored solutions
• Communicate effectively with key stakeholders, including clinical leadership, credentialing
teams, and IT departments, to ensure the success of the implementation
Continuous Improvement & Process Optimization
• Monitor the performance of credentialing software post-implementation, identifying
opportunities to optimize workflows, increase automation, and reduce manual interventions
• Collaborate with product development teams to provide feedback on software features and
enhancements based on client needs and industry trends
• Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance the credentialing and provider
data management experience for healthcare organizations
Qualifications
Experience:
• Experience and strong knowledge/background Implementing the Symplr Provider Data
Management Module
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in healthcare provider credentialing, credentialing
software implementation, or healthcare data management
• Proven experience working with Symplr Provider Credentialing software or similar
credentialing management systems (e.g., Verity, Echo, Modio)
• Strong understanding of healthcare provider data management practices, including provider
enrollment, credentialing, recredentialing, and ongoing monitoring
Skills & Knowledge
• In-depth knowledge of healthcare credentialing regulations, including NCQA, URAC, CMS,
and state-specific credentialing requirements
• Experience with data migration, integration, and data quality management, particularly in
the context of provider data
• Familiarity with healthcare IT systems, databases, and integration methods, including EMR
and other clinical systems
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and credentialing software
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot data
discrepancies and issues
• Certification in healthcare credentialing (e.g., CPCS, CPMSM) is highly desirable but not
required
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in a consulting or project management role within a healthcare organization.
• Knowledge of other credentialing software systems or healthcare compliance tools.
• Familiarity with healthcare compliance frameworks and accreditation bodies (e.g., NCQA,
The Joint Commission)
