MS SQL Database Administrator
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced MS SQL Database Administrator with 15+ years of handson experience in Microsoft SQL Server administration, database architecture, performance tuning, disaster recovery, and migration projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing enterprise-level database environments.
Key Responsibilities: • Install, configure, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server environments (On-Premises & Cloud). • Design and implement database architecture to ensure high availability and scalability. • Monitor database performance and perform tuning, optimization, and troubleshooting. • Manage backup, restore, and disaster recovery strategies (HA/DR, Always On, Log Shipping, Replication). • Plan and execute database migration and upgrade activities. • Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance standards. • Perform capacity planning and performance forecasting. • Automate routine DBA tasks using scripts (T-SQL, PowerShell). • Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams for deployment and production support. • Provide 24/7 production support when required. Required Skills: • Strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server (2008–2022). • Experience with Always on Availability Groups, Clustering, Replication. • Advanced knowledge of Performance Tuning & Query Optimization. • Hands-on experience in Database Migration (On-Prem to Cloud / Version Upgrades). • Knowledge of Azure SQL / AWS RDS (preferred). • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. • Experience with monitoring tools and automation scripting. Preferred Qualifications: • Microsoft SQL Server certifications. • Experience working in enterprise or high-availability environments. • Strong communication and documentation skills
