Primary Teacher

Job Title: Primary School ESL Teacher

Location: Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (Private School)

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Primary School ESL Teacher to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for organizing courses for non-native English speakers, utilizing diverse activities and methods to cover all aspects of the English language. If you are passionate about English and education, possess a calm and positive demeanor, and enjoy working with young learners, we would like to meet you.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare classroom and course materials to facilitate effective ESL instruction for primary school students.
• Assign homework and exams, and grade students' assessments to monitor progress and comprehension.
• Develop individualized educational plans for students with special requirements, such as learning disabilities, to ensure inclusive learning experiences.
• Stay updated on new teaching methods for ESL instruction and implement research-based strategies in the classroom.
• Create a supportive and positive classroom environment conducive to learning and student engagement.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance and grades for reporting purposes.
• Handle classroom crises effectively and with composure, ensuring the safety and well-being of all students.
• Inform parents about student progress and collaborate with them and other educational staff to support student learning and development.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as an ESL teacher or similar role, particularly in primary education.
• Knowledge of various methods of teaching English to non-native speakers, with a focus on primary school-aged children.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills to effectively manage classroom dynamics and engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
• A calm and resilient personality, capable of handling classroom challenges with professionalism and empathy.
• ESL or TESOL certification demonstrating proficiency in teaching English as a second language.
• Bachelor's degree in English Language, English Literature, or a similar field, with a focus on primary education
