Job Description:

Our client, a reputable international mining group, is seeking a Senior Mining Geologist to join their operation. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading geological activities across the full mining lifecycle, from exploration and resource definition through to supporting mine planning and production strategy. This role requires a technically strong and experienced professional capable of working within complex, multi-deposit environments while contributing to strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee geological mapping, interpretation, and 3D modelling of ore bodies.
• Plan, supervise, and optimise drilling campaigns (RC and diamond drilling), ensuring QA/QC compliance.
• Analyse and integrate geological data from multiple sources to support resource development.
• Manage and validate mineral resource estimations in accordance with international reporting standards (JORC or equivalent).
• Design and implement exploration and resource development programs.
• Ensure data integrity, compliance with geological standards, and best practices.
• Collaborate with mining, processing, and technical teams to support mine planning and production strategies.
• Lead, mentor, and develop site-based geology teams.
• Contribute to technical decision-making and long-term resource strategy.

Experience and Skills:

• Degree in Geology or Earth Sciences (MSc preferred).
• Minimum 10–15+ years’ experience in mining geology within established operations.
• Proven experience across multiple deposit types (e.g. gold, copper, base metals).
• Strong expertise in Geological mapping and 3D modelling, Resource estimation and validation, Drill program planning and management, Advanced geological data interpretation.
• Experience with industry software (Datamine, Surpac, Leapfrog, Micromine).
• Strong understanding of JORC / NI 43-101 or equivalent reporting standards.
• Demonstrated leadership and team management capability.
• Experience working in remote, site-based environments.
