Job Description:

Our client, a leading container terminal operator, is seeking a Process Engineering & Analytics Specialist to support engineering performance improvement through data-driven decision making and process optimization. Reporting to the Head of Engineering, the successful candidate will analyze operational and financial data to identify bottlenecks, improve workflows and support engineering performance. This role combines industrial engineering, business analytics and financial analysis to improve fleet availability, operational efficiency and cost performance within a fast-paced, asset-intensive terminal environment. It is ideally suited to an analytical engineering professional with up to five years' experience in industrial engineering, process improvement or operational analytics.

Responsibilities:

• Consolidate and analyse operational, maintenance, procurement and financial data to produce dashboards, reports and management insights.
• Identify operational bottlenecks, process inefficiencies and cost drivers using industrial engineering and process mapping methodologies.
• Develop dashboards, reporting solutions and analytical insights to support engineering recovery programs and operational decision-making.
• Support OPEX and CAPEX budgeting, cost modelling, variance analysis and financial reporting for engineering programmes.
• Prepare process maps, workflow improvements and implementation materials to support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Procurement, Finance and IT teams to improve operational performance and reporting accuracy.

Requirements: Qualification and Skill

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Operations Research, Data Analytics, Business Engineering or a related quantitative discipline.
• Maximum five years' experience in industrial engineering, process improvement, business analysis, operations analysis or a similar analytical role.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience developing dashboards using Power BI, Tableau or similar business intelligence platforms.
• Working knowledge of SQL, Python, Power Query or comparable data analysis tools.
• Experience with process mapping and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Demonstrated understanding of OPEX/CAPEX budgeting, cost modelling, variance analysis and commercial decision support.
• Experience within ports, logistics, manufacturing, mining or other asset-intensive industries is advantageous.
