Role Overview- (Project-based)
The Project Engineer is responsible for all engineering and technical disciplines that projects involve. The Project Engineer is responsible for scheduling, planning, forecasting, resourcing, and managing all the technical activities aiming at assuring project accuracy and quality from conception to completion.
Key Responsibilities
Assist Project Manager in establishing project objectives, procedures, data collection methods, and performance standards
Prepare scheduled or necessary updates of construction activities and determine personnel and equipment requirements
Inform supervisors and subcontractors promptly of any construction schedule changes, and work closely with all stakeholders to ensure requirements are met
Oversee budgetary, scheduling, and project databases, and report regularly to project manager on progress as well as on problems that could significantly affect cost or schedule
Manage compliance with standards and specifications for quality control and assurance
Desired Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in engineering or related field
5-10 Years of relevant industry experience in project management, project engineering, or project planning (scope, schedule, cost, quality)
Strong working knowledge of software such as AutoCAD
Understanding of compliance and quality assurance guidelines and best practices
Familiarity with processes for change requests (CR) and change orders (CO)
Must be proficient or familiar with various software, such as Business software: Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
