The Mechanical Engineer I will work with company personnel, to develop design solutions, excelling in engineering, design and project management. The Engineer will perform engineering duties in all project phases e.g. conceptual design, front-end design, detail engineering and design and plant commissioning.

Work as a valued member of the project teams to develop and execute projects

Conduct site visits to determine information to allow execution of scopes of works

Always utilize a safe approach in design and working practices;

Encourage attention to Health, Safety, Security and Environment in other personnel;

Follow procedures for document control and discipline design;

Conceptualize mechanical designs and produce solutions that are safe, cost effective, fit for purpose and add value

Ensure operational and maintenance issues are addressed in the design;

Attend Design Reviews, HAZOPs and Constructability Assessments;

Identify areas of concern during any project to the project lead while proposing necessary corrective action;

Produce mechanical/piping designs to engineering standards and specifications

Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering;

5 -10 years’ related experience or exposure to mechanical design principles;

Must be well organized with the ability to multi-task and have good communication (written and oral) skills;

Demonstrated ability to think and work independently with direction as needed to meet project requirements.;

Must be proficient or familiar with various software, such as CAD software: AutoCAD, Bently Autopipe, SolidWorks, etc. and Business software: Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)

Must possess ability to read and understand technical drawings and documentation including P&IDs, construction drawings, industry and site codes and standards, and manufacturing operating manuals.
