Warehouse Assistant – Refinery Maintenance (Suriname)

We're seeking a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Assistant to support refinery maintenance projects in Suriname. The successful candidate will assist with warehouse operations, including inventory management, material handling, stock organization, and the timely distribution of materials to support maintenance activities while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, store, and issue materials, tools, and equipment.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and support stock control activities.
• Organize warehouse storage areas to ensure efficient material identification and segregation.
• Prepare materials for distribution and support logistics for maintenance activities.
• Operate warehouse equipment safely and adhere to refinery HSE requirements.
• Assist with inventory counts, housekeeping, and general warehouse operations.

Requirements

• Minimum LBO/LTS qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience in warehouse operations, preferably within a refinery or industrial environment.
• Knowledge of material identification, storage, and segregation practices.
• Experience with safe manual handling and warehouse equipment operation.
• Valid Class BE driver's licence (truck licence preferred).
• Fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
• Willingness to work extended hours when required.

Location

This position is based in Suriname for a 2-year project assignment.. Successful candidates must be willing to relocate to Suriname for the duration of the assignment. Relocation assistance, travel arrangements, and accommodation will be provided in accordance with company policy.
