Role Overview
The E & I Technician will work with company personnel of the E & I Department. The E & I Technician will perform technical duties under the guidance of the E & I Lead in all project phases e.g., conceptual design, front-end design, detail engineering and design, and plant commissioning. Below are details of the main responsibilities of the role but are not limited to these.
Key Responsibilities
Performs repair activities and commissioning of site’s electrical and instrumentation systems;
Performs troubleshooting of site’s electrical and instrumentation systems;
Ensure preventative, autonomous maintenance and equipment sanitation work practices are set up for execution as required by the engineering team;
Continually and deliberately identify and implement improvements in works systems, processes and personal development and as assigned;
Follows parts procurement procedures;
Supports creation and updating of documentation for equipment PMs.
Desired Skills and Expertise
Electrical and Electronics Engineering Technician’s (EEET) Diploma or equivalent;
3 - 5 years’ related experience;
Relevant working experience with an engineering contractor or production company in the process industry;
A team player and having an ability to interact effectively with client’s organization and others disciplines in our taskforce;
Take responsibility for the functionality of the electrical & Instrumentation and Control system project scope;
Work within a task force for the realization of multi-discipline projects in close cooperation with vendors and clients to translate functional specifications into technical solutions;
Must be well organized with the ability to multi-task and have good communication (written and oral) skills;
Demonstrated ability to think and work independently;
Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
Must be client-focused and advancement oriented;
Must be proficient or familiar with various software, such as Business software: Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
