Job Title: Branch Manager
Description: The Branch Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of branch operations, ensuring excellent customer service, achieving financial and sales objectives, managing risk and compliance, and developing a high-performing team. This role serves as the primary point of contact for customers and local stakeholders and drives initiatives to improve operational efficiency and branch profitability.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop branch staff to deliver outstanding customer service and meet sales targets.
- Manage daily branch operations including cash handling, teller activities, and transaction processing.
- Drive branch sales and cross-selling of products and services to meet or exceed targets.
- Monitor and manage branch performance against budget, KPIs, and profitability goals.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and audit standards.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate operational, credit, and compliance risks.
- Recruit, onboard, evaluate, and retain talented staff; conduct performance reviews and create development plans.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, local businesses, and community partners.
- Prepare and present regular branch performance reports, forecasts, and action plans to senior management.
- Implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce losses, and enhance the customer experience.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Proven experience in branch management, retail banking, or retail store leadership with a track record of meeting sales and operational goals.
- Strong understanding of financial products, P&L management, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements, compliance procedures, and risk management best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
- Proficiency with banking systems, CRM tools, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
