Supervisor

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Supervisor to oversee our team and ensure the successful completion of projects. The Supervisor will be responsible for managing staff, delegating tasks, and maintaining a productive work environment. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication, and the ability to problem-solve efficiently.

• Supervision of Dal Processing:

  Overseeing the entire dal processing operation, including cleaning, sorting, de-husking, splitting, and polishing.

• Staff Management:

  Directing and coordinating the work of production staff, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to schedules.

• Quality Control:

  Monitoring the quality of the finished product, ensuring it meets established standards and specifications.

• Equipment Maintenance:

  Ensuring all machinery and equipment are in good working order, scheduling maintenance, and reporting any issues.

• Safety Compliance:

  Implementing and enforcing safety procedures and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.

• Production Monitoring:

  Tracking daily production output, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing solutions to improve efficiency.

• Record Keeping:

  Maintaining accurate production records, including daily output, material consumption, and any incidents.

• Coordination:

  Collaborating with other departments, such as procurement and logistics, to ensure a smooth production process. 

Qualifications:

• Experience:

  Previous experience in a dal mill or food processing unit is highly desirable.

• Technical Skills:

  Understanding of dal processing techniques, machinery, and quality control procedures. 

• Supervisory Skills:

  Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, resolve conflicts, and manage performance. 

• Communication Skills:

  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with staff, management, and other stakeholders. 

• Problem-Solving:

  Ability to identify and resolve production-related issues quickly and efficiently. 

• Education:

  A diploma or degree in food processing or a related field is an advantage.
