Job Description
An Equity Dealer is responsible for executing buy and sell orders of equity securities on behalf of clients or the firm. This role involves monitoring market trends, managing client portfolios, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The Equity Dealer works closely with traders, analysts, and clients to optimize investment strategies and achieve financial objectives.
Responsibilities
- Execute equity trades promptly and accurately in accordance with client instructions and market conditions.
- Monitor market activities and analyze trends to provide timely advice and recommendations.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their investment goals and risk tolerance.
- Collaborate with research analysts to incorporate market insights into trading decisions.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Manage trade settlements and resolve any discrepancies or issues efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of all transactions and prepare reports as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
- Proven experience as an equity dealer or in a similar trading role.
- Strong understanding of financial markets, instruments, and trading platforms.
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks governing equity trading.
- Relevant certifications such as Series 7, CFA, or equivalent are preferred.
