Business Solutions Director
Responsibilities
1. Solution Strategy & Leadership
• Define and lead the overall solution strategy across target industries and key accounts.
• Act as executive owner of solution integrity, ensuring consistency from presales
through project handover.
• Provide strategic guidance to senior management on solution feasibility, delivery
risks, and technology positioning.
• Represent the company as a senior solution authority in executive-level customer and
stakeholder engagements.
2. Vendor, OEM & Strategic Partnership Leadership
• Establish and govern executive-level relationships with key vendors, OEMs, and
technology partners.
• Evaluate strategic technologies and alliances that strengthen the company’s long-term
competitive advantage.
• Lead high-level commercial and technical negotiations related to partnership
structures, support models, and exclusivity where applicable.
• Ensure partner ecosystems are aligned with business unit growth objectives and
solution roadmaps.
3. Presales
• Oversee all presales activities to ensure disciplined requirement analysis, solution
scoping, and value articulation.
• Act as a senior solution advisor to customers, translating business objectives into
integrated technology solutions.
• Ensure solution proposals clearly demonstrate differentiation, risk mitigation, and
long-term value to customers.
• Provide executive oversight to Proof of Concept (POC) and technical validation
initiatives.
4. System Integration• Serve as Head of System Integration, accountable for solution architecture across
multi-vendor, multi-technology environments.
• Govern solution design standards, architecture principles, and engineering best
practices.
• Ensure all proposed solutions are scalable, secure, compliant, and implementable
within agreed commercial and operational constraints.
5. Bidding Governance & Proposal Assurance
• Assume executive accountability for all major bids, particularly public-sector and
regulated projects.
• Establish and enforce bidding governance, proposal quality standards, and compliance
assurance processes.
• Review and approve final technical and solution submissions, ensuring zero non-
compliance and high credibility.
• Lead bid strategies under aggressive timelines and high-risk conditions.
6. Sales Enablement & Revenue Support
• Act as an executive partner to Sales leadership, supporting deal strategy, positioning,
and solution credibility.
• Provide high-impact technical and solution support in critical negotiations and closing
stages.
• Ensure alignment between solution scope, commercial assumptions, and delivery
capability.
7. Post-Award Governance & Project Handover
• Oversee structured handover of awarded projects to Project Management and
Delivery organizations.
• Ensure solution intent, assumptions, risks, and dependencies are clearly transferred
and understood.
• Support executive project kick-off and early execution governance to protect margin,
scope, and delivery success.
Qualifications & Executive Profile
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Technology, or a related discipline.
• 15+ years of experience in system integration, presales leadership, solution
architecture, or complex project bidding.
• Proven executive-level experience in government tenders and large enterprise bids.
• Strong leadership experience managing senior managers and multidisciplinary
technical teams.• Deep understanding of infrastructure, telecommunications, data center, energy,
transportation, or mission-critical systems.
• Executive presence with the ability to engage credibly with C-level clients, regulators,
and strategic partners.
