A major manufacturing organization is recruiting for a Purchasing Manager to lead procurement activities at its production facility. This role is accountable for managing the full procurement cycle, developing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, overseeing inventory, and ensuring strict adherence to quality, safety, and budget standards.
The Purchasing Manager will direct the purchasing process, including supplier selection and evaluation, contract management, and timely acquisition of goods and services. The position coordinates cross-functionally with internal departments to satisfy operational needs, optimize inventory, and streamline procurement processes. Team leadership, compliance with health and safety regulations, and active supplier management are also integral to this role.

Select, evaluate, and onboard suppliers based on price, quality, warranties, support, reliability, and service.

Coordinate with cross-functional teams, particularly in technical specification and service requirements for key purchases.

Negotiate pricing and contractual terms, ensuring fulfillment throughout the contract lifecycle.

Organize and monitor delivery schedules, maintain accurate records of purchases and inventories, and manage claims for delivery issues.

Optimize inventory and working capital by leveraging strategic purchasing strategies (e.g., own stock, JIT, consignment, contract call-off), aiming for zero slow-moving or obsolete items.

Ensure proper storage, labeling, and preservation of inventory; implement FIFO/FEFO systems for material issuance.

Administer purchasing workflows and documentation, including RFQs, POs, contracts, and procurement records.

Generate reports on procurement activities and stock audits, support financial reporting, and forecast material needs based on operations plans.

Uphold audit, legal, and internal control requirements; promote safe and compliant storage and purchase practices.

Facilitate cost optimization through continuous supplier discovery and process improvements.

Lead and motivate the purchasing team, fostering collaboration and high standards in operations and safety.

University degree; engineering or science background preferred.

Minimum 8 years’ experience in a purchasing or administrative role within an industrial environment.

Strong technical, legal, and inventory management knowledge, including procurement procedures and contracting principles.

Advanced skills in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Fluent in Thai and English.
