We’re recruiting a passionate and skilled Optometrist to join a growing practice in Northern California’s capital region. Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive eye exams and vision assessments.
• Diagnose and manage ocular disease, including glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy.
• Prescribe and fit eyeglasses, contact lenses, and specialty lenses.
• Educate patients on preventive eye care and treatment options.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals for co-management and referrals.
• Maintain detailed documentation using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Stay current with evolving trends in optometry and patient care technologies.

What We’re Looking For

• Doctor of Optometry (OD) from an accredited school
• Active California optometry license
• Strong foundation in primary care and medical optometry
• Excellent clinical judgment and patient communication skills
• Team-oriented and focused on delivering patient-first care
• Organized and detail-oriented with solid EHR proficiency

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Experience with pediatric or geriatric care, or specialty contact lens fitting
• Proficiency with OCT, fundus photography, visual field testing, and other diagnostic tools
• Bilingual skills are a plus in serving Sacramento’s diverse patient population
• Prior experience in an optical dispensary or retail setting is helpful
