Manufacturing Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Plan and lead the installation and sequencing of machines, works stations, tools, parts and supplies to optimize the efficiency of the production process.
• Guide or coach Engineers in preparing engineering process documentation.
• Analysis and development of manufacturing functions, capacities, and facilities needed to produce the customers product.
• Coordinates with stakeholders to develop improvement plans which support established manufacturing methods, practices, and designs
• Uses tools to gather information on current state conditions (cycle time, lead time, scrap rate, test results, etc.).
• Assists Design and Project Engineers, external customers, and manufacturing team members to resolve product level issues from production.
• Responsible for the creation and update of related documentation (test procedures, assembly instructions, specifications, checklists, etc.).
• Assist key personnel, project lead engineers, and/or Operations management in determination of work scope, tasks, schedules, and budgets.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. 
• Specialized professional knowledge of the theory, principles, and practices of mechanical or industrial engineering in an automotive environment.
• Working knowledge of Solidworks, AutoCAD or equivalent programs.
• Technical writing skills sufficient to prepare product specifications, test, and process documentation.
• Prior knowledge and practice with Lean Manufacturing, Just-in-Time, and Total Quality Management.
• 5+ years of experience as a manufacturing  working on mechanical or electromechanical systems.​
• Ability to effectively employ standard methods and tools, APQP, PPAP (DFEMA, PFMEA, PFD, Control Plans, MSA, Capability Studies, etc.).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proven working experience in design documentation development.
• Knowledge of IATF, ISO 9001 & ISO14001 standard.
• English fluent - Business conversation​.
