Senior UX/UI Frontend Engineer (Design System Specialist)

Responsibilities

• Lead the creation, customization, and maintenance of a comprehensive design system using bit.cloud, incorporating reusable UI components, styles, and assets.
• Collaborate with UX designers and product managers to understand user requirements and brand guidelines for the web application.
• Customize HTML/CSS to align with the company's brand guidelines and ensure a consistent visual experience.
• Implement responsive and intuitive user interfaces using Node.js, HTML/CSS, and other relevant frontend technologies.
• Optimize frontend performance and ensure cross-browser and cross-device compatibility of the design system.
• Conduct usability tests and gather feedback to continuously improve and iterate on the design system.
• Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate frontend interfaces with backend systems and APIs.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers in frontend development and design system best practices.
• Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes related to the design system.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex frontend-related bugs and issues in a timely manner.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven work experience as a Senior UX/UI Frontend Engineer or a similar senior-level role with a strong focus on design system development and maintenance.
• Strong proficiency in frontend technologies, including Node.js, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
