Key Accountabilities

• This is a hands-on manufacturing engineering role with responsibilities for managing a team of engineers as well as performing manufacturing engineering functions
• Responsible for plant layout, designing efficient process and material flows, and implementation of machinery
• Lead, coach, and mentor Manufacturing Engineering team
• Implement process improvement and new technology to improve mfg cost, improve flow, and reduce the cost of poor quality
• Develop and maintain metrics for Manufacturing Engineering
• Oversee key projects that support the manufacturing processes and processes for new products
• Identify, development, and implement new capital equipment requests for the business that support annual business priorities
• Work with Quality, Manufacturing, and Engineering on troubleshooting problems and developing error proof solutions
• Provide guidance and support during design reviews to address product manufacturing issues: process routings, machining capabilities, etc
• Address quality issues, routing issues, and design changes that could affect manufacturing processes or machines
• Ability to identify, select, and implement new capital equipment into the facility to support business needs
• Team player that has the capabilities to work with other functions

• Proven track record of utilizing sound problem solving skill set and root cause analysis as method of metric driven performance improvements
• Self motivated individual with the ability to lead/drive through the change management cycle

Job Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Industrial, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering required.  Advanced degree a plus
• Must be bi-lingual English/Spanish
• 7+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in mills, lathes, turning, and/or assembly
• 5+ years experience in leadership
• 3+ years of hands-on support of greenfield/line move experience including build up of direct staff for support of long term production.
• 3+ years in project management capabilities from idea generation to implementation, preferred
• 5+ years of Lean manufacturing experience with practical application experience
• 3+ years with ERP systems – manufacturing functions
