MANUFACTURING PAINT ENGINEER
Reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering & Maintenance Manager, the Manufacturing Engineer provides product, process, and manufacturing support to the manufacturing site. The Manufacturing Paint Engineer will interact closely with the other Operations teams and Product Commercialization Team to enable maximum efficiency and execute project deliverables at the manufacturing site.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Lead/support site industrialization activities related to factory start up and achieving product manufacturing targeted takt time
Work with selected internal and external manufacturers to continuously improve production efficiency to yield measurable improvements (material, labor, overhead, toolings, process, quality)
Elaborate and publish monthly manufacturing analytics reports covering selected internal or external manufacturing sites
Manage strategic projects, including project planning, risk assessment and communication
Technical support for the sourcing team in commercial negotiation with external suppliers
Technical lead in CCM manufacturing site
Create core documentation like Process Flow chart & PFMEA.
Identify, design, and deploy automation solutions for Paint area as well as Sanding and Packaging areas.
Create, maintain, and validate Standard Operative Procedure (SOP)
Drive Lean, Kaizen and 6Sigma projects across multiple product category/manufacturing sites
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, industrial) combined with 5 to 10 years of manufacturing experience with an important understanding of manufacturing site start up. Any other pertinent experience may be considered.
Experience in painting automation process as well as Painting Manual process (more than 2 years)
Experience using and programming Yaskawa robots.
Experience using Graco paint sprayers
Experience in leading complex projects and managing project plan, including risk management and communication.
Experience in Consumer Products Goods and/or sporting goods is an asset.
Experience in Automation is required
In-depth knowledge of product design, development, and manufacturing processes.
Familiarity with the following software and operation system: AutoCAD, PRO ENGINEER, MSOFFICE and MS PROJECT.
Bilingualism (English and Spanish).
