Expression of Interest – Mining Professionals (Opportunities in Australia)

We will be seeking qualified Mining Engineers seeking employment-based relocation or skilled migration opportunities to Australia.

We are inviting Expressions of Interest from experienced mining professionals who may be interested in potential future opportunities across Australia on upcoming projects and operational mining roles, including underground and open pit operations.

This Expression of Interest is intended to create a talent pool for roles that may become available over the coming months and does not relate to a single, immediate vacancy.

The role of Mining Engineer involves mine planning, design, scheduling, and operational support across underground and/or open pit mining operations. The position requires a strong focus on safe production, operational efficiency, and compliance with Australian mining regulations and industry best practices.

This EOI is intended for skilled mining engineering professionals who meet Australian engineering accreditation and migration requirements and are interested in long-term employment opportunities within Australia’s mining sector.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain short‑medium, and long‑term mine plans and production schedules.
• Conduct mine design activities including pit designs, underground layouts, and production sequencing.
• Apply mine design and planning software to optimize production, safety, and cost efficiency.
• Support day‑to‑day mining operations through technical analysis and engineering input.
• Monitor production performance against plans and recommend corrective actions where required.
• Identify and manage geotechnical, operational, and safety risks associated with mining activities.
• Ensure compliance with mine safety systems, statutory regulations, and operational standards.
• Support drill and blast design, haul road layouts, and equipment utilization planning.
• Prepare technical reports, feasibility inputs, and planning documentation.
• Collaborate with geology, operations, maintenance, and HSE teams to ensure integrated delivery.

Requirements: Qualification and Skill

• Degree in Mining Engineering aligned to ANZSCO 233611.
• 3–10+ years’ experience in underground and/or open‑pit mining operations.
• Proven expertise in mine planning and scheduling.
• Strong competence in mine design and planning software (e.g., Deswik, Surpac, MineSched or similar).
• Demonstrated focus on safety leadership and risk management.
• Strong analytical, technical, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively across multidisciplinary site teams.
• Willingness to work in remote or site‑based mining environments.

• Valid passport
• Skills assessment – Engineers Australia or relevant assessing authority
  (required for all candidates regardless of country of origin)
• Employment reference letters
• Academic and trade certificates
• English language test (IELTS / PTE or equivalent)
• Health examinations
• Police clearance certificates
