Plant Quality Manager Springfield, MO (Relocation Paid)
Immediate Job Opening for a Plant Quality Manager for a $150M growing global division of a Fortune 500 in Springfield, MO (relocation paid). Critical hire due to retirement and lots of opportunity to have an immediate impact (eliminate/reduce product quality defects). Highly visible position that works across manufacturing, sales, & with customers. Own all of Quality (team of 4) for a 400+ person facility reporting directly to the Plant Manager Diverse products & end users; very stable, profitable, growing (mining, agriculture, energy, oil/gas, food/bev, lawncare, forestry, OEM, HVAC, power equipment/sports) Utilize your process/continuous improvement skills to reduce waste and have a dramatic impact on this business! Recognized as one of America’s most innovative and enduring manufacturers This quality leader will be responsible for driving excellence in product quality and cultivating a culture of continuous improvement. This includes managing customer quality interactions, maintaining ISO-compliant systems, improving processes and training teams, and collaborating cross-functionally to uphold rigorous standards. Select Responsibilities Serve as the primary point of contact for customer quality concerns and drive timely resolution in alignment with company guidelines. Lead root cause analysis of non-conformance reports and implement process/product improvements using tools such as Lean, Six Sigma, and FMEA. Maintain and enhance the plant’s quality management system in accordance with ISO 9001 and customer-specific requirements. Develop and execute quality plans, control procedures, sampling techniques, and internal audits to ensure compliance and continuous improvement. Monitor and improve supplier quality through evaluation, performance tracking, and issue resolution. Collaborate with operations, sales, and technical teams to ensure in-process and final product quality across all manufacturing locations. Train, coach, and develop the quality team while embedding quality best practices throughout the plant.
Qualifications
Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Quality, or related discipline 5–7 years of quality management experience in a manufacturing setting Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; expertise in root cause analysis and corrective actions Proven experience with ISO 9001 standards and quality system development Proficiency in tools such as FMEA, SPC, MSA, and control plans Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills Preferred Advanced certifications such as CQE, CQA, or Six Sigma Black Belt Experience with rubber or polymer-based manufacturing (e.g., belts, hoses, tires)
