Quality Food Safety Manager

A leading, highly respected food and beverage manufacturer with iconic consumer brands is seeking an experienced and proactive Quality Manager to lead food safety and quality operations at a flagship production facility. This opportunity is ideal for a hands-on, energetic leader with 7+ years of quality assurance experience in food, beverage, or pharmaceutical manufacturing and a strong foundation in compliance, continuous improvement, and team development.

• Overseeing all plant Food Safety & Quality programs to ensure compliance with internal standards and external regulations (FDA, CFIA, FSMA).
• Leading HACCP, SQF, and other regulatory programs while serving as the main point of contact for audits and inspections.
• Managing and developing a large team (50+ employees), fostering a culture of quality ownership across departments.
• Delivering robust onboarding and recurring training in GMPs, quality, and food safety.
• Driving continuous improvement in quality metrics, audit readiness, and incident reduction as part of site-wide improvement initiatives.
• Partnering cross-functionally with Sales, R&D, Maintenance, and Operations on product quality, customer support, and launches.
• Ensuring sanitation, pest control, and environmental monitoring programs are effective and compliant.
• Maintaining all plant SOPs, managing the departmental budget, and coordinating with corporate QA on vendor performance and corrective actions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 7+ years of experience in Quality Assurance within food, beverage, or pharmaceutical manufacturing.
• 5+ years of leadership experience, managing teams in a manufacturing environment.
• Deep knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, FSMA, SQF, allergen control, microbiology, and root cause analysis.
• Experience with continuous improvement methodologies and quality KPI tracking.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills to drive cross-functional success.
