About the Role: Our client, a well-established company in Louisville, KY, is seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to take full ownership of the payroll function. This is a key role within the organization and will serve as the sole payroll professional. While our client will maintain a partnership with their HCM provider for Paylocity build-out and processing support, this position will be responsible for managing all payroll activities from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage all aspects of payroll processing for approximately 150 employees
Ensure compliance with multi-state payroll requirements
Process union payrolls accurately and on schedule
Partner with the HCM provider (Paylocity) while taking full ownership of payroll operations
Prepare and submit certified payroll reports as needed
Identify and implement payroll process improvements
Assist with payroll system enhancements and build-out initiatives
Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
Qualifications & Requirements:
Required:
5+ years of payroll processing experience
Multi-state payroll processing expertise
Union payroll processing experience
Preferred:
Certified payroll reporting experience
Payroll process improvement and system implementation background
Experience with Paylocity or similar HCM platforms
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently and manage deadlines
