Engineering Manager

Our client is a manufacturer of automotive components, and they are looking for an engineering manager to manage the design and implementation of products into manufacturing, including machinery and automation.

Engineering Manager Responsibilities:

• Manage tooling and automation departments and associated projects.
• Ensure tooling is designed, manufactured, and implemented on time and within budget.
• 1st piece approvals and process capability studies
• Continuous improvement and problem solving in manufacturing processes. 
• Analyze potential suppliers, and stay abreast of the state of the art in materials and processing technologies. 
• Ensure safety is of paramount importance, and ensure alignment with quality and agency requirements. 

Qualifications

Engineering Manager Requirements

• 4 year degree in an Engineering discipline
• 5 years of automotive engineering management experience, with a preference of 10+ years of automotive engineering experience in total.
• Excellent leadership skills, and a desire to participate with the team on the plant floor. 
• Well-rounded background in tooling design/maintenance, fixtures, automation equipment
