Job Description:
As an Outdoor Sales Representative with expertise in import and export shipping, you will play a crucial role in expanding our client base and driving revenue growth. You will be responsible for establishing and maintaining strong relationships with potential and existing clients, understanding their shipping needs, and offering tailored solutions to meet those needs. This role requires a deep understanding of shipping logistics, excellent communication skills, and a results-oriented mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Acquisition and Relationship Building:
Identify and target potential clients in need of Clearance, import and export shipping services.
Build and nurture strong, long-lasting relationships with clients by understanding their specific shipping requirements and providing them with tailored solutions.
Attend industry events and networking functions to expand your client base.
Product Knowledge and Consultation:
Maintain a thorough understanding of our company's import and export shipping services, including shipping methods, regulations, and pricing structures.
Consult with clients to assess their shipping needs and provide expert advice on the most suitable shipping solutions.
Prepare and present shipping proposals and quotes to clients.
Sales Targets and Reporting:
Set and achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets to contribute to the company's revenue growth.
Keep accurate records of sales activities, including client interactions, meetings, and progress reports.
Provide regular sales forecasts and updates to the sales manager.
Market Research and Competitive Analysis:
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market conditions, and competitors' offerings.
Analyse competitors' strengths and weaknesses to position our company effectively in the market.
Collaboration and Teamwork:
Collaborate with the operations and customer service teams to ensure seamless execution of shipping orders and customer satisfaction.
Participate in sales meetings and training sessions to enhance product knowledge and sales techniques.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, or a related field (preferred).
Minimum of 3 years of experience in outdoor sales, specifically in import and export shipping.
Strong knowledge of international shipping logistics, including import and export regulations and documentation.
Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Self-motivated, results-driven, and a team player.
