Senior Freight Expert

We are seeking a Senior Freight Expert to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all freight operations, ensuring that shipments are managed efficiently and cost-effectively. You will work closely with internal teams, customers, and logistics partners to ensure timely and accurate deliveries. The Senior Freight Expert will also be instrumental in optimizing freight costs, managing relationships with carriers, and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily freight operations, ensuring on-time and accurate deliveries.
• Manage relationships with freight carriers, suppliers, and customers.
• Analyze and optimize freight costs and efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with international shipping and customs regulations.
• Coordinate and monitor shipments from origin to destination.
• Negotiate freight rates and contracts with carriers.
• Develop strategies to improve the efficiency of logistics processes.
• Provide support and guidance to junior freight team members.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in freight, logistics, or supply chain management.
• Strong knowledge of international shipping procedures and customs regulations.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in logistics software and MS Office Suite.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in logistics or supply chain management (e.g., CLTD, CSCP).
• Experience working in a senior or leadership role within freight management.
• Fluency in [languages, if applicable].
