About the Practice: A well-established, full-service ophthalmology practice in Western Massachusetts is seeking a skilled and motivated Comprehensive Ophthalmologist to join their team. The practice offers advanced technology, a loyal patient base, and an excellent opportunity for long-term growth, including a clear pathway to partnership or ownership.
Position Overview: The incoming physician will provide full-spectrum ophthalmic care, including medical, surgical, and laser services. Fellowship training in subspecialties such as Cornea, Glaucoma, or Refractive Surgery is welcome but not required. This position is ideal for a physician who values a collaborative environment, continuity of care, and professional independence.
Practice Highlights:
On-site LASIK suite and advanced diagnostics (including OCT, topography, and premium cataract technology)
Dedicated in-office procedure room for oculoplastics and advanced dry eye therapies (e.g., LipiFlow, IPL)
Support from experienced optometrists, technicians, and administrative staff
Well-established referral network and steady patient volume
Partnership or ownership track available
Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive eye exams, medical and surgical ophthalmology care
Provide cataract and refractive surgery services
Collaborate closely with the clinical team to ensure high-quality patient care
Participate in practice development and leadership opportunities
Qualifications:
MD or DO with completion of an accredited Ophthalmology residency
Board-eligible or board-certified in Ophthalmology
Eligible for Massachusetts medical licensure
Strong clinical and surgical skills
