Job Description:
The head of the quarry department ensures the supply and processing of the materials (limestone and clay) necessary to supply the plant in terms of both quantity and quality. He also makes sure to do so while respecting the legislation of the country and the rules and good practices of the plant.
Responsibilities:
• The head of department is in charge of the quarry (stripping operations, limestone, clay and sand), the explosive depot and the crushing line.
• He is in charge of the rehabilitation of the quarry by respecting all the instructions and rules in force in this area.
• He manages the team attached to the service and defines and controls the activities of career contractors according to the contracts established with these companies. In particular, he manages the crushing line during the working day and coordinates the work of the crushing line roundsmen.
• He ensures that the main indicators are properly achieved and well reported.
• It sets out the very short-term mining plan (phasing of operations) and defines the daily work of the contractors while ensuring that production costs are kept low.
• He organizes daily, weekly and monthly coordination meetings with the contractors and ensures that these meetings are properly documented.
Requirements: Qualification and Skill
1. Training: Bac +5 level in geology, mining engineer or equivalent diploma 07 years of experience at least in the same position.
2. Know-how: Good ability to organize and manage work. Reporting and analysis.
3. Fluency in French, fluency in English is a plus.
