Job Description:

Chief of Party (COP) will oversee all strategic, technical, and operational aspects for Resilience through Accelerating New Community-based Holistic Outcomes for Resource Sustainability (Resilience ANCHORS) Activity. The Activity empowers community level stakeholders to work together for better natural resources management, conservation efforts, and economic benefit, then vulnerable, to increase resilience to economic and climate-related shocks and stressors

Responsibilities:

• Assume overall technical, financial, and administrative leadership of the Activity
• Ensuring that all tasks are implemented effectively and that all deliverables are submitted on time, within budget, and in compliance with applicable regulations and policies
• Identify and execute strategies to build viable relationships with key stakeholders
• Address critical economic and developmental challenges related to the lack of investment in the land-share model for communities
• Work with partners and stakeholders to increase access to healthy, safe, and sustainable supplies of water of to meet human, economic, and ecosystem need
• Streamline investment and collaboration among private sector partners, communities and local authorities towards long-term sustainable landscapes for mutual benefit
• Advise on capacity building measures to generate long-lasting benefits from community assets and development capital in business, organizational, and environmental management
• Liaise regularly with USAID to ensure the timely production and submission of high-quality deliverables, including regular project reports
• Supervise technical and operational/finance personnel; and
• Perform other tasks and duties as necessary for the success of the project.

Requirements:

• A tertiary degree in business administration a related field
• 10+ years’ experience in a similar role
• Demonstrated prior technical and management expertise leading and supervising integrated community-based natural resources and wildlife programs, governance programs, and community development programs
