Job Description:
Our client, a diversified mining & metals recovery company, has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and experienced Group Engineering Manager (PGM) to lead the engineering and maintenance strategies of the group’s North West operations..
Responsibilities:
- This position reports to the COO and the Key Performance Indicators includes:
- Drafting and Managing maintenance plans for areas of responsibility (multiple operations)
- Drive Root cause failure analysis
- Managing legal Compliance on-sites
- Managing and communicating daily, weekly and monthly maintenance targets
- Monitor and Manage supervisors to ensure safe delivery of maintenance targets
- Ensure adherence to legislation and policies and procedures
- Engaging relevant stakeholders to solve operational and engineering problems
- Identify and drive technical and process improvement
- Drive safety, engineering, quality and cost drivers
- Compile and Manage Engineering Budget
- Manage and Implement Maintenance Standard Operating Procedures
- Drive Continuous Improvement through Operational Excellence
Requirements: Qualification and Skill
- Have successfully completed an Engineering Degree or Diploma (Mechanical or Electrical)
- Be in possession of a Government Certificate of Competency (Mines)
- Have a minimum of 8 Years’ experience in the Chrome and/or PGM environment
- Safety Leadership, Results Orientated, Strong written and Oral Communication skills
- Strong Technical skills
- Strategic Planning, Organizing and Control
- Legal appointment required (Min 12.13.3.1)
