Head of PR & Communications (Gemstones /Press / Luxury / Strategy) – Dubai

Our client, a leading global mining company with a focus on gemstones, is seeking a Head of Public Relations and Communications. The incumbent will play a vital role in developing and executing communication strategies that promote the brand and increase awareness of the precious gemstone products. The responsibilities will include managing media relationships, creating engaging content, managing social media presence, organizing public events, and analysing the effectiveness of

communication strategies.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement comprehensive communication plans that align with business goals and objectives, effectively promoting the brand.
• Manage relationships with media outlets, influencers, and other relevant stakeholders, ensuring positive and consistent messaging about the company.
• Create and edit compelling content for press releases, blogs, and other communication materials, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and brand alignment.
• Manage the company's social media presence, including developing engaging content, monitoring trends, and fostering interaction to increase engagement and followers.
• Plan and execute public events and other promotional activities that effectively showcase the brand and gemstone products.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure consistency in messaging and branding across all communication channels.
• Measure and analyze the effectiveness of communication strategies using appropriate metrics and analytics tools, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Stay up to date on industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive activities, and adjust communication strategies accordingly to maintain a competitive edge

Requirements:

• Proficiency in media relations and experience in managing relationships with media outlets, journalists, and influencers.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of public relations principles, strategies, and best practices.
• Experience in developing and executing comprehensive communication plans and campaigns.
• Proficiency in content creation and editing for press releases, blogs, and other communication materials.
• Knowledge of crisis communication strategies and experience in handling sensitive or challenging communications situations.
• Proficiency in data analysis and reporting, using appropriate metrics and analytics tools to measure the effectiveness of communication strategies.
