Our client, a well-established multinational operating within the advanced engineering and manufacturing sector, is seeking an experienced Executive Manager: Contract Management to provide strategic and operational leadership across its Contract Management function. The successful candidate will lead a team of Contract Managers, oversee the execution of complex commercial contracts, and develop strong client relationships to ensure contractual compliance, commercial performance, and successful project delivery.
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Contract Managers, ensuring the consistent application of contract management best practices.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders throughout the contract lifecycle.
Provide strategic oversight of contract execution, including scope management, commercial performance, schedule adherence, risk management, change control, and claims management.
Support tender, bid, proposal, and contract negotiation activities by providing commercial and contractual guidance.
Ensure contracts are managed in accordance with applicable legislation, customer requirements, and internal governance policies.
Oversee contract amendments, variations, dispute resolution, and claims processes.
Monitor contractual performance, identify commercial risks and opportunities, and provide recommendations to senior leadership.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across contract management systems, processes, and governance frameworks.
Work collaboratively with Project Management, Engineering, Finance, Legal, Supply Chain, Quality, and Operations teams to ensure successful project execution.
Promote strong commercial awareness and contractual compliance across project teams.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Law, Business Management, Commerce, or a related discipline.
Postgraduate qualification will be advantageous.
Professional certification in Contract Management, Commercial Management, or Project Management (WorldCC/IACCM, PMP, or equivalent) will be advantageous.
Minimum of 7 years' experience in contract management, commercial management, or project management within an engineering, manufacturing, industrial, infrastructure, EPC, or similarly regulated environment.
Minimum of 3 years' experience leading and developing professional teams.
Proven track record managing complex, high-value commercial contracts from negotiation through execution and close-out.
Strong understanding of commercial contracts, contract law, risk management, governance, and compliance.
Excellent commercial acumen with the ability to identify contractual risks and opportunities.
Exceptional negotiation, stakeholder management, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Strong analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and enterprise business systems.
