Job Description:

Our client, a leading international logistics and freight forwarding company, is seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to lead its operations in Guinea. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall financial and operational performance of the country business, ensuring sustainable growth, operational excellence, and high levels of customer satisfaction. This role requires a commercially minded leader with extensive freight forwarding experience, strong knowledge of African logistics environments, and the ability to develop high-performing teams while driving continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the country logistics business, ensuring profitable growth and operational excellence.
• Manage the country P&L, budgets, forecasts, and financial performance.
• Oversee import, export, domestic logistics, and freight forwarding operations.
• Drive business development, customer retention, and strategic partnerships.
• Lead supplier negotiations and monitor operational KPIs.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, company policies, and safety standards.
• Develop and mentor a high-performing logistics team.
• Implement continuous improvement, digitalisation, and process optimisation initiatives.

Requirements: Qualification and Skill

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or a related discipline.
• Extensive experience within freight forwarding, logistics, or supply chain management.
• Fluency in both French and English is essential.
• Proven experience working within African markets is essential.
• Experience managing P&L, commercial performance, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong operational, commercial, and financial acumen.
• Experience managing import and export operations involving high-value commodities and/or dangerous goods is preferred.
• Experience within the maritime shipping or port logistics sector is highly essential.
