Wetcast Production Manager
JOB SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for supervising and coordinating activities of up to 30 workers. Must maintain a safe, clean, productive working environment at all times!!! Trains and instructs workers. Determines work sequence and equipment required to perform assigned tasks. Observes work procedures to ensure safety, and quality. Inspects equipment for wear and completed work for conformance to standards. Performs related duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1.Responsible for safety, quality, productivity, maintenance, and general housekeeping for assigned department and close proximity.
2.Hire, train, evaluate and discharge staff as required
3.Review production schedule and inventory to determine staffing, duty assignments and work schedules.
4.Direct and coordinate production and prepare production reports.
5.Initiate and coordinate inventory and cost control programs.
6.Enforce all Company regulations and safety procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS, ABILITIES AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:
1.Associate or Bachelors degree or equivalent experience.
2.5 years of experience in the supervision of others.
3.Knowledge of inputs, outputs, raw materials, waste, quality control, techniques for maximizing the manufacture of concrete products.
4.Ability to motivate, develop and direct people as they work.
5.Excellent understanding of written and verbal instructions.
6.Ability to use relevant information and individual judgment to determine whether events or processes comply with industry standards.
7.Ability to inspect equipment, structures and/or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems.
Wetcast Production Supervisor
Reports to: Wetcast Manager
This position is responsible for supervising and coordinating activities of up to 15 workers. Must maintain a safe, clean, productive working environment at all times!!! Trains and instructs workers. Observes work procedures to ensure safety, and quality. Inspects equipment for wear and completed work for conformance to standards. Performs related duties as assigned.
1.Conduct and document appropriate weekly safety meetings. Documentation will be turned into the Department Manager on the day the meeting is held.
2.Enforce all safety and company regulations. Infractions will be brought to the attention of the Department Manager immediately if discipline is required.
3.Plan and organize production based on an established schedule provided by the Department Manager.
4.Maintain proper inventory levels of all production materials. Inventory items monthly.
5.Ensure all production equipment is operating efficiently. Fill out work orders for maintenance, and check that work is done in a timely manner. Department Manager will be copied on all work orders and notified immediately of any down time.
6.Responsible for all aspects of daily production including, but not limited to the following:
A.Maintain optimum production rate as established by Department Manager.
B.Responsible for strength and dimensional quality of all products produced (i.e. concrete strength, steel placement, lift inserts, openings, etc).
C.Verify product is patched, stenciled, and dimensionally correct before leaving production area for stock or loading.
D.Supervise clean up at the end of each shift.
E.Start steam generator (when required) in a timely fashion to ensure proper operation prior to leaving.
F.Turn in production documentation (i.e. production count, time sheets, incident reports, work orders, disciplinary reports, etc) at the end of each day.
G.Responsible for equipment maintenance and general house keeping in assigned areas.
1.2 years experience of concrete manufacturing or related education.
