Inside Sales / Customer Service Specialist
We are a Flat Rolled steel service center located in Cleveland, Ohio serving the U.S. since 1926 selling Hot Roll, Hot Roll Pickle and Oil, Cold Rolled and Galvanized products.
The position will be responsible for handling all customer service aspects of their assigned customers/accounts to ensure accuracy and customer satisfaction as well as additional office functions.
This position reports to the Inside Sales Manager.
Major duties include: order entry and follow-up, expediting, communicating lead-time, material inventory, and status. Responds to complaints and processes credits. Essential functions include but are not limited to:
Provide Customer Service for assigned Representatives, pricing, order status, commercial support, expediting, and cultivating relationships with the customer.
Ensure orders, blanket orders and transfers are entered correctly according to quotes offered.
Complete review of customer's Purchase Order to ensure all commercial terms are acceptable.
Complete review of detailed specifications to ensure compliance with the customer's technical requirements.
Determine what stock is available for use and allocate stock.
Responsible to review, enter, and manage orders resulting from conversion of a quotation to an order or orders received directly from a representative.
Establish priority and enter all orders within an acceptable timeframe.
Other duties as required.
Your Expertise:
Minimum 3 years of technical sales experience in technical customer service role
Strong Microsoft Office skills
Ability to work independently, under pressure and within tight deadlines
Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills
Technical sales experience within the steel industry is preferred
Be able to work well with others, assist others when needed and be part of a team
