This role reports into the Vertical (Sector) Head for Manufacturing for TCS UK & Ireland.
TCS are very well poised with a leading reputation in this sector with marquee customers such as Jaguar Land
Rover, Rolls Royce, Tarmac, NSK etc.
They are seeking an experienced BDM to generate significant new opportunity pipeline, sales closures and
revenue in the Manufacturing Sector across UK and Ireland. The majority of the sales will be created through
selling a broad range of IT services into key clients /prospects within this sector.
The key responsibilities are as follows:
▪ To assist in creating, agree and implement the sales strategy, approach and objectives for the target market
▪ Use existing and develop new business leader networks to identify and create qualified opportunity pipeline
▪ Lead bid solution teams to develop compelling propositions and business cases
▪ To ensure routine use of bid review / approval processes, sales reporting and pipelinemanagement tools

This successful candidate will be required to understand
the value that outsourcing brings to organisations. This
person must have a track record of sales in outsourcing
deals within the Manufacturing Sector across UK. They
will fundamentally understand the territory, the science
of consultative selling of IT services and have strong
commercial awareness. They will need to have an
innovative approach to deal structures and be able to be
highly credible with Clients.
Required
Degree qualified
• Extensive experience of the industry
• Relevant experience of competing and winning
deals in the market.
• Experience of working in virtual teams spread
over multiple locations and countries.
• Broad experience of the IT industry, markets,
trends, technologies and their implications
• Minimum five years proven track record in
meeting sales targets
