Job Description - Piping Purchasing Specialist
Location- Nanterre, France
Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Piping Purchasing Specialist to support procurement activities for large-scale energy, LNG, EPC, and industrial projects. The role is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, negotiating, and purchasing piping materials and related packages while ensuring quality, cost efficiency, and schedule compliance. Key Responsibilities - Manage end-to-end procurement activities for piping materials and services. - Prepare RFQs, evaluate supplier quotations, and conduct commercial negotiations. - Coordinate with engineering, project management, logistics, and suppliers. - Ensure purchase orders comply with project specifications and client requirements. - Monitor supplier performance, delivery schedules, and expediting activities. - Support vendor qualification and supplier relationship management. - Review technical and commercial bid documents. - Maintain procurement records, reports, and documentation. - Identify cost-saving opportunities and procurement risks. Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement, or related discipline. - 5+ years of experience in piping procurement or purchasing within EPC, Oil & Gas, LNG, Energy, Petrochemical,or Industrial projects. - Strong knowledge of piping materials, valves, fittings, flanges, and related procurement processes. - Experience with supplier negotiations and contract management. - Familiarity with ERP/procurement systems. Preferred Skills - Knowledge of international procurement standards. - Strong analytical and commercial acumen. - Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. - Ability to manage multiple suppliers and deadlines in a project environment.
